Transcripts are coming to Apple Podcasts

Apple Podcasts has ushered in a transformative feature with the introduction of auto-generated transcripts in its iOS 17.4 update. This advancement is a significant stride in making podcasts universally accessible and enhancing user experience.

Migrating from Google Podcasts to YouTube Music

Google has announced that they are shutting down Google Podcasts in 2024. After March 2024, users in the United States will no longer be able to listen to podcasts on the platform. By June 2024, Google will remove the ability for users to migrate or export their podcast subscriptions from Google Podcasts.

Transition Tools Available

To help with the transition, Google is providing tools for users to migrate their podcast subscriptions to YouTube Music or download a file of their subscriptions to import into another podcast app. These tools will be available until June 2024.

YouTube Music Integration​
As part of the transition, podcast capabilities will be integrated into YouTube Music. Like Google Podcasts, YouTube Music enables background listening, downloading, and more without a paid membership.

Eligibility Requirements

To use the migration and export tools, users need to have the latest versions of the Google Search and Google Podcasts apps installed and have a valid Google account.
